1st CONGRESSIONAL DEMS ORGANIZE FOR 2022 SHOWDOWN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 24, 2020

1st CONGRESSIONAL DEMS ORGANIZE FOR 2022 SHOWDOWN

TULSA, Oklahoma: Democrats from Tulsa, Wagoner, and Washington Counties are not resting after the recent presidential win. Foundational work at the precinct level is vital to winning state and local races which are priorities in 2022. They are currently scheduling upcoming dates for precinct officer training for December and January. County Democratic Party officials are looking to mobilize volunteers in every precinct in Tulsa and the outlying counties. Each precinct has a chairperson, a vice chairperson, and a secretary which are elected by members of the precinct. The precinct officers then become delegates to the county convention and are an integral part in shaping the county party. 1st Congressional District Vice-Chair Naomi Andrews says, “It’s their job to get to know the people in their precinct, reach out to undecided and swing voters, and make sure all Democrats are registered and ready to vote because you can’t win a house, senate, or congressional district, if you aren’t winning at the precinct level.” All training sessions will begin at 6:30PM and space is limited. To register call 918-742-2457 or visit www.odpcd1.com/get-involved and RSVP for one or the following dates:

  • December 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th

  • January 5th, 7th, 14th, 19th

“We encourage everyone who is worried about the direction of our local and state government, to get involved,” says Tulsa County Democratic Party Chair Amanda Swope. “We need people who are willing to be leaders in their neighborhood. We need you!’
